'Transformers: Dark of the Moon': Lack of plot spoils the fun

THE SEQUEL of one of the top Hollywood grossers has turned out to be a dud - receiving bad to worse comments by critics. If people thought that Transformers: Dark of the Moon was different - then they would be totally disappointed as this time the director has concentrated wholly and solely on the action part of the film, forgetting that a script also requires some words, which tells the story. This is the third Transformers film by the same director, Michael Bay, but its the worst Transformer film till date.

As critics are of the view the film has an excess of everything, violence, robots, bravery and heroism but the one thing that it lacks is a strong plot. What with the recent headlines that the film made with the sacking of Megan Fox, people were expected to come to the theatre for a fun filled weekend. However, this time the directors have gone a little overboard with the idea of robots fighting men. At the end the audience would beg for the cacophony on screen to end.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon stars Shia LaBeouf, Josh Duhamel, John Turturro, Tyrese Gibson, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Patrick Dempsey, Kevin Dunn, Julie White, John Malkovich and Frances McDormand. It has taken up political event like the moon landing as a part of the plot. The script revolves around a technology that is hidden in the dark side of the moon.

Although the reviews are not that great but people can give it a try for old times’ sake as Michael Bay was after all the man who gave us Transformers 1.
