It refers to justified protests by DMK and BJP against Indian government's decision denying entry to 81-years' old Parvathi Velupillai in India for medical treatment, perhaps only because she happened to be mother of slain LTTE Chief V Prabhakaran.
IT REFERS to justified protests by DMK and BJP against Indian government's decision denying entry to 81-years’ old Parvathi Velupillai in India for medical treatment, perhaps only because she happened to be mother of slain LTTE Chief V Prabhakaran. It was still more disgusting that the ailing old lady flew to Chennai Airport only after she was granted a valid visa by Indian embassy in Kuala Lumpur. Union government even did not take into confidence the state-government run by its own ally DMK while deporting the lady back to Kuala Lumpur by same flight.
India is known in foreign countries for its fine quality of medical-service that too with economy. Many patients even from advanced countries visit India for post-surgical facilities because of these being comparatively economical in India. We allow citizens from even enemy-countries on humanitarian grounds for medical treatment in India. Therefore Union government should rectify the wrong done by inviting Parvathi Velupillai for medical treatment. A person should not be held accountable for guilt, if any, of its child.
There is no justification in not allowing Parvathi Velupillai to get treatment here in India. She should be treated on humanitarian ground and then leave the country when doctor,s feel she is cured and fully fit. It is a pure humanitarian gesture and we should show her our hospitality in spite of the fact that her son was responsible for death of our Prime Minister.
