ONE OF the top leaders of Chasi Mulia Adivasi Sangh (CMAS), Kenduka Arjun of Bandhugaon was killed by unidentified miscreants at Kottapeta, 10 kilometers from Bandhugaon Block headquarter on Monday (August 9, 2010). According to eyewitnesses, Kenduka Arjun was going from his village Kesubadra to Almonda for medical treatment of his wife, where miscreants waylaid and killed him.

On Friday (August 6), the CMAS Bandhugaon had organised a rally at Bandugaon with their traditional weapons like swords, axes, bows and arrows in their hands protesting against the police atrocities, landlords and liquor mafia.
Meanwhile, condemning the killing of their leader, CMAS leader, Jhansi condemned the killing of their leader, who worked for the benefit of the tribals and was playing a historical role in anti-liquor movement at Bandhugaon and Narayanpatna, since the past 15 years.Jhansi also confirmed over phone that the murder of Kenduka Arjun was hatched under a conspiracy as his elimination would definitely benefit the liquor mafia and landlords.
