Savithri was an actress par excellent whom the Telugu audience shall never forget.With her bewitching beauty & action with her lip & eye movements, she made permanent abode in the hearts of all her fans.One K.V Reddy,One Chakrapani,One Adurthi,One Rajeshwar Rao,One Mahadevan,One Athreya,One NTR & One SAVITHRI is yet to be born in any of the world celluloid-leave alone Indian.Such an actress is NOT yet born nor going to be born(Na Bhootho,Na Bhavishyathi).She had her own action of inimitable style for which the vocabulary may prove inadequate.It is said that God takes to his fold early those whom HE likes most and there is no wonder if he chose Savithri in that order.One is sure to get reminded,with all tears rolling in his/her eyes, of one the characters played by her in the Telugu film called "Mooga Manasulu" wherein the poet laureate Athreya pens a song which, interalia, says that "Poyinollantha Manchollenamma.Vunnollu Poyinolla Theepi Guruthulu"(all those who are dead are good & those who are left behind them are their sweet memories).Though Savithri did not leave behind any such heirs to the filmdom,all the cinemas she acted in are the sweetest memories for the posterity.Besides actional talents,she was intensely a humane at heart with her incomparable charity.People fondly say that she had no bone to her hand-which symbolically signifies that she was not knowing as to what extent she was giving charity.A great philanthropist she was,she reportedly sold even all her jewellery for giving tips to her servants rather than showing an empty hand.Telugu cine audience were at once impoverished by her untimely death.Let us pray God that her soul rests in peace for all times with all the mesmerising laughs of the kind of "Madhravani'-a charcter portrayed by her in the film "Kanyasulkam"
