CBI released Ramphool, his brother-in-law Vyas and sister Kusum, the three arrested in Aarushi Talwar murder case. The trio told the media that they were tortured and threatened by officials during questioning.
CBI HAS released three persons on Wednesday (September 16), who were arrested after a cell phone belonging to Aarushi Talwar was recovered from one of them. All the three claimed that they were innocent and had nothing to do with the Aarushi murder case.
The trio identified as Ramphool, his brother-in-law Vyas and sister Kusum told the media that they were tortured and threatened by officials during questioning.
Claiming that he was innocent, Ramphool from whose possession the phone was recovered said that the police made them undergo lie-detector test. He said police officials threatened him and allegedly threatened to strip his sister.
Ramphool recalled that the phone was given to him by his sister without the SIM and memory card. He said that he gave the phone to his friend Vijay Pal Singh, who kept it for two months and it was only in January-February this year, he started using the phone.
He also denied anything amiss in the phone and said that there was phone records, when he received the mobile. His sister Kusum, said that she had found the mobile in Sector 40 and gave it to her brother as she did not know how to use the mobile phone.
