K Chandrasekhara Rao, the chief of Telangana Rashtra Samithi was taken into custody by police on Sunday (November 29) in the out skirts of Karimnagar city while he was proceeding for his proposed unto death fast at Siddipet of Medak district.

The police took him first to Warangal to produce in the court and later taken him to Khammam where he was produced before the court. Later he was sent to the Khammam sub-jail where he started his fast.
Soon after hearing the arrest of Chandrasekhara Rao, in some parts of Telangana, some disturbance has come up and particularly in Osmania University, students showed their anger and turned violent. The Home Minister Sabita Indra Reddy appealed to the police and students for restrain.
In Siddipet, Harish Rao a TRS MLA and some others were arrested and by the evening they were released on bail.
