We need to understand that self respect means having a personal standard of mortality and ethics that does not sellout to expediency. We should always be honest and open about who we really are
IT’S ALWAYS ’greener on other side of courtyard ’. Truly I have always observed others and even myself craving and admiring things that never come to us. The end always has been like an empty handed duck. People always think what they have is less or inferior to others. We always dream to opt for something that are not ours .Incase we get it then after few moment of joy it loses its value and then something else become more important. You and I, in fact we all undergo similar symptoms, it grows and grows until we all lose the most important and basic requirement of life "the self respect".
My parents always believe that you are either honest or you are not. Its simple you see: "Life is like a field of newly fallen snow; where I chose to walk it will show. "We need to understand that self respect means having a personal standard of mortality and ethics that does not sellout to expediency and that is not relative to the situation at hand . Once we start with self respect how can you forget ’integrity’? "Integrity" is an inner standard of judging your behaviour. Unfortunately, in today’s world of I, me, and myself integrity is in short supply and getting scarcer. And it is something we must demand for and from ourselves. Stand firmly for your convictions in the face of personal pressure. When you are true, then you are. Bowing heads in fear of superiors is cowardliness and being dishonest to oneself. Of course, give others credit that is rightfully theirs. We should always be honest and open about who we really are. Only those who lack genuine core values rely on external factors.
You do what you do because it’s right. A life with principles, will always win the day. It will take one forward into the 21st century without having to check your tracks in the long run. Self respect integrity is the stuff that leads us through life towards greater happiness.
