TV industry focusing on mythological and historical topics
Indian history is the most interesting and has lots of scope to explore. Though many people hates reading the glorious past we Indian had, but they could never deny if it is shown as a movie or may be as a serial. Mythological and historical topics are the new experiment zone in television industry.
Few years ago in television industry there were only one production house that would make mythological and historical serial and bring those heroic character to us in a unique way...Sagar Telefilms, the famous production house who made famous mythological serials like Ramayana, Mahabharata, Shri Krishna, Mahima Shani Dev Ki, Shakuntala and many more.

The production house has shown its brilliant work on its famous historical show Dharti Ka Veer Yodha Prithviraj Chauhan too. But now the scenario has changed and after sensing the huge success of historical and mythological shows many other production houses have jumped into the race.

Daily soap queen Ekta Kapoor had tried to make her version of Mahabharta but her attempt turned to be a drastic failure within an episode or two. But she did not lose hope and after few years came up with an historical love saga of Jodha Akbar and it worked. So now she is looking forward to her next project, Chandragupta Maurya.

Not just Ekta Kapoor but many others have shown interested in this genre. Swastik pictures had made Mahabharat in the year of 2013 on Star Plus, which was quiet famous. Current running shows like Chakravarti Samrat Ashok produced by Contiloe Entertainment is also popular among viewers.

Others Historical serials like Jhansi Ki Rani, Shobha Somnath Ki, Veer Shivaji, Bharat Putra Maharana Pratap and many more had come to join the journey of historical serials. Some proved to be a real blockbuster while some failed.

But still Indian audience must agree that they love historical serials more than other serials as they could relate to our past and got to see the heroic and brave life of our ancestors and last but not the list the serials remind us about our culture and heritage. And make us love history once again.
