India's Home Town (Future Retail Ltd), Poland's FPH Witeks Adam Witek, Hungary's Hungaro Management Ltd and Russia's Ourrson Co Ltd. and many more were quality buyers among the more than 6,500 global buyers from emerging markets. A number of Asian and emerging markets including South Korea, Taiwan, the mainland, India, Indonesia and Thailand recorded double-digit growth.
According to HKTDC Deputy Executive Director, Benjamin Chau, the two fairs resulted a positive output. The green and trendy products were in high demand and buyers also continued to favour the trend toward "small and frequent orders".
The fairs' Small-Order Zone featured nearly 400 showcases offering some 4,000 products accounting nearly 19,000 buyer visits, generating about 34,000 business connections. An online version of the zone was also set up, offering instant payment via PayPal.
