Twitter troll Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga becomes spokesperson of BJP's Delhi unit
Bagga has close to 2 lakh followers on Twitter and is well known for his proximity to BJP leaders.

Well, Bagga has been what you call in BJP's terms, 'patriotic'. With a long history of assaulting public figures behind him, Bagga also once headed a brigade which he liked to call 'Bhagat Singh Kranti Sena' (BSKS), a supposedly 'task force against traitors, anti-nationals and corrupts'. BSKS has reportedly now been disbanded.

Bagga, in October, 2011, had attacked noted anti-corruption crusader, Prashant Bhushan in his chamber. Bagga claimed to have assaulted the senior advocate for his support for a referendum on Kashmir, something that has been guaranteed by the Constitution.

Baaga and his colleagues barged into Bhushan's room when he was speaking to a television channel, pulled him out of his chair, slapped, dragged and repeatedly punched him. They pinned him down on the floor and kicked his chest.

Bagga later claiming credit for the attack, posted this on his Twitter handle, 'He try to break my nation, i try to break his head. Hisab chukta. Congrats to all. operation Prashant Bhushan successful [sic].'

If this wasn't enough, Bagga, who's infamous for disrupting public events and hooliganism, had attacked noted writer Arundhati Roy in May, 2011. Bagga and his three associates were also arrested for disrupting the book launch event of Roy's book. Bagga along with his colleagues barged into a seminar and attacked Roy while the writer was discussing her book 'Broken Republic'. Bagga claimed to have done this for Roy's voicing 'pro-separatist' sentiments in context of Kashmir.

In 2012, Swami Agnivesh had voiced concerns over news reports that a Visva-Bharati University girl was forced to drink urine by her hostel warden for bedwetting. Bagga did not like it, so his BSKS threatened Swami Agnivesh that they will force him to drink urine. Wow! Great logic, Bagga!

As if all this wasn't enough to earn recognition as a bakht, in 2015, BSKS started an online news and opinion blog. This blog titled NaMo Patrika was dedicated to Narendra Modi.

And then came his jubilee moment on July 1, 2015 when he was hosted by the PM at his official residence on Lok Kalyan Marg. Along with Bagga, Modi also hosted 149 other pro-Right media influencers (trolls) in an event called #super150.

Albeit Bagga was a good troll, but for him to graduate into a good BJP spokesperson, unfortunately, he would have to learn to use logic and reason, if that makes any sense to him. And it seems that Bagga's induction into mainstream politics and eventual transformation from a troll to a spokesperson of a national level party has already begun as his Twitter timeline has been cleaned up of any controversial or messy tweets.

Within hours of Bagga being named BJP's spokesperson, senior advocate Prashant Bhushan tweeted: "No surprise that BJP appoints lumpen thugs like Bagga as their spokesman. Can't expect better from Shah/Modi who have promoted thugs all over."
