Two arrested for tampering with evidence in toll plaza murder case
Their arrest comes after main accused Vijayveer and his aide Manjeet revealed about the modification of the Bolero car that was carried out to conceal identity.

THE GURGAON Police on Tuesday night arrested two persons in connection with Kherki Daula toll plaza murder in which a toll attendant was shot dead by a local youth under the influence of alcohol. The duo have been arrested for tampering with evidence as they had modified some parts of the Bolero car, in which the main accused Vijayveer was travelling at the time of murder.

They were identified as Naveen, who owns a car accessories shop in Sector-14 and Dipak, who repairs bumpers. Police said Naveen had changed the exterior parts of the car with the help of Dipak, but did not inform about this to the police. Police officials said that since the two had acted in collusion with criminals as such they would face action.

It is likely that some more people could be arrested in connection with the case for sheltering the main accused, hidiing evidence and trying to tamper with them. Meanwhile, in a positive gesture, the company which operates the Delhi Gurgaon expressway has announced compensation of Rs 5 lakh for the family of deceased Umeshkant Pandey, who was shot dead on last Friday at Kherki Daula toll plaza in Gurgaon.
