Two days dedicate to dispose off long pending cases : Justice Kaul
Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court Sanjay Kishan Kaul today asserted that to dispose off long pending cases in various courts, two days in a week have been dedicated to clear the backlog at the earliest for the facilitation of aggrieved parties.

This was stated by Chief Justice, Punjab and Haryana High Court Sanjay Kishan Kaul while interacting the media persons here after laying the foundation stone of state-of-the-art Alternative Dispute Redressal Center.  Justice Kaul was flanked by Punjab and Haryana High Court Justice Jasbir Singh, Justice S.S. Saron, Justice Rajesh Bindal, Administrative Judge Ferozepur Session Division and District and Session Judge Vivek Puri.

Justice Kaul while answering the media queries said ADR Centers would prove a boon for providing speedy justice to the parties through Lok Adalats besides reducing the work load on courts. He said this will also save the precious time, money and energy of people seeking justice from courts. He said that this ADR Center in Ferozepur has been constructed with a cost of Rs. 1 crore 30 lakh providing immense facilities for judiciary officials, advocates and for general public. He said that new chambers for the advocates will also be constructed soon. He laid the foundation stone of this..

Earlier Justice Kaul also inaugurated New Judicial Complex at Zira constructed at a cost of Rs. 26 crore 30 lakh and he also planted a sapling in the court complex. He said that now the residents of Zira Sub Division will get the justice under one roof along with other judicial services. He also said that as per the requirements and needs of the area, ADR centers were being constructed in Punjab and Haryana for the facilitation of general masses.

Meanwhile Justice Kaul also held a meeting with Judicial Officers of Ferozepur, Member of Ferozepur Bar Council. He also presided over a function organised by Bar Council. Prominent amongst those present on the occasion  Mrs.Archna Puri Distt.and Session Judge Faridkot, Mr. Arvinder Pal Singh Sandhu, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Mr. Gurpreet Singh SSP, Additional District and Session Judge Sunil Kumar Arora, Mr. Mehrok, Hira Singh, SDM Sandeep Singh Garha, President Bar Council Advocate Jasdeep Singh Kamboj, Secretary Advocate Jagdish Kumar and Vice President Mr. Gaurav Vohra.
