Udaipur to host conference on "Consumer Behavior in Hospitality and Tourism Industry"
A two-day national conference on "Consumer Behavior in Hospitality and Tourism Industry" is going to be held in Udaipur on August 7 and 8 to deliberate on the issues related to the travel, tourism and hospitality business.

In the conference sponsored by Indian Council of Social Sciences Research (ICSSR), various stakeholders including researchers, will reflect on the increasingly apparent need for industry and create a cooperative environment in which ideas can become tangible solutions.

The host institution, Pacific Institute of Hotel Management, Pacific University, has invited contributions from various stakeholders in hospitality and tourism sectors by selecting various subthemes for interaction, paper presentation, panel discussion and keynote addresses.

"The conference will profile current and emerging trends, challenges and issues that are being faced by hospitality and tourism operators in a high-growth business environment," informed the organizers while highlighting the fact that across the nation, tourism is an important part of economy in both developing and developed countries.

Stressing the need for the consolidation of tourism's economic influence through social responsibility and political relevance, the conference organizers added, "As a sector representing 9% of global GDP, one in 11 jobs worldwide, and a key revenue sector, tourism is widely acknowledged for its capacity to respond to global challenges."

The topics like human resource management and tourism; manpower planning and development in tourism; career planning in tourism sector; tourism marketing; new product development; social media in tourism and hospitality; influence of digitization in tourism and hospitality; hospitality & information technology; and many more will be discussed during the conference.
