The ambitious UID card is synergized with biometric features such as fingerprints and iris scan, these unique features will assist government authorities in cleansing the fraudsters, corrupt and ghost employees from the system. The card can be used as ID card for diverse reasons like for passport, gas connection, bank account, business, host of other government policies. Well in a country like India where corrupt people easily get away with the law of the land, it remains to be seen how UID card will assist in nabbing the offenders and mitigating corruption and malpractices in the system.
