UK court adjourns hearing of Vijay Mallya's extradition case to September 12
After listening to the pleas, Judge Emma Arbuthnot asked Indian officials to provide a video of Barrack 12 of Arthur Road Jail within three weeks, where fugitive business Vijay tycoon Vijay Mallya will be housed after being extradited.

The court fixed September 12 as the next date for placing the closing arguments in this high profile extradition case. Facing charges of fraud in India, Mallya, on Tuesday, appeared in person before the Westminster Magistrates' court in London.

Earlier, Mallya had said before the court that allegations of money laundering against him are "completely wrong".

The 62-year-old had challenged India's efforts to extradite him as he owes over Rs 9000 crore to a consortium of 13 Indian banks and has been declared a "wilful defaulter". He had been released on bail after being arrested in April last year.

During the previous hearing on April 27, the CBI's case against Mallya was strengthened when Judge Arbuthnot confirmed that the evidence handed down by Indian officials would be acceptable in the case. The CBI had submitted a number of documents to the British court, including the evidences of conspiracy against former managing director of IDBI Bank, BK Batra.
