Uma Bharti is back in the fold of BJP, which would be looking up to her in getting good election results in Uttar Pradesh. She had been expelled from the party in 2005 following a tiff with senior leader L K Advani.
LOOKING AHEAD into UP elections, the BJP has got a strong politician on its side. Uma Bharti has come back and joined the party again. Nidin Gadkari, president of Bharatiya Janata Party welcomed her formally at its office in New Delhi, and organised a press meet conference to formally announce the comeback of Uma Bharati.

Uma Bharati has always been one of the strongest politicians within the BJP. She even became the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh after defeating Digvijay Singh of Congress party who stood as the Chief Minister of Madhy Pradesh for 10 years. Uma Bharati was the Chief Minister till August 2004. She was expelled from the BJP in 2005 due to some arguments with senior leader L K Advani, and it was shown on national television. Her homecoming is sure to encourage many BJP supporters and workers. But the question remains if she gains more and more popularity then how other leaders will react to it.
Only time will tell how her homecoming will benefit the party in the coming elections in Uttar Pradesh in 2012, and in other states as well. The BJP might have felt the loss when she left the party. So, this time around she would be engaged in the elections, and help the BJP in all possible ways. Some politicians within the BJP fold might not benefit from Uma Bharati’s homecoming but the party is surely going to prosper in her hands.
