Uneducated women have lack of awareness about judiciary
A newly created body dedicated to gender equality and empowerment of women, its report titled 'Progress of the World's Women' has said that India 'significantly' lags behind rest of the world in representation of the fairer sex in judicial system.
THE CONDITION of women in India is like framers of Vidarbha in Maharashtra. Framers are suffering from the burden of bank loans and women have restriction to live into society.

According to India’s constitution, women are legal citizens of the country and have equal rights with men. The recent reported by the United Nations deplored the miniscule 3 per cent representation of women in India’s judicial system and claimed that 35 per cent of fair sex faces physical violence in the country.

The report released by assistant secretary general of United Nation Women Lakshmi Puri termed it as disappointing the meager representation of women in Indian judicial system saying gender equality was key for ensuring justice to the victims. The report which examined a variety of issues like women's access to judicial system and sexual harassment in countries across the world also pointed towards high prevalence of physical and sexual violence against women.

"It was found that 35 per cent of respondents in India have reported to be victims of physical violence by their intimate partners, while 10 per cent of respondents were victims of sexual violence by their intimate partners," it said. The report also said that 39 per cent of men and women think that it issometimes or always" justifiable for a man to beat his wife.

Women are not educated and cannot hold a prestigious job, they take on the most physically difficult and undesirable jobs. Even most of women do not know about their rights and women commission in the country. There is lack of knowledge about the women rights.

"After my arrange marriage I found my husband has been live in relationship with other women too, but when I opposed him and asked about other girls so he beat me very badly. I don’t know anything about women commission or women rights in Delhi, he did sexual harassment and asked to bring money from my father,” Neeru said. She also added now she put filed a sexual harassment case against him and now she has applied for a divorce. "If I am educated then I would not face so many problems. I am facing so much problem because I am uneducated."

An Indian woman suffers immensely. Women are responsible for baring children, yet they are malnourished and in poor health. Most of Indian women are uneducated. Women are also overworked in the field and complete all of the domestic work as well. Although the country’s constitution says women have equal status to men, women are powerless and are mistreated inside and outside the home. Women have restrictions and biased condition as well.

According to crime records in the country, Madhya Pradesh is in the first position in sexual harassment cases, and recently many rape and sexual harassment cases have been reported outy of Uttar Pradesh and Delhi too.

A newly created body dedicated to gender equality and empowerment of women, in its report titled Progress of the World's Women”, said India "significantly" lags behind the rest of the world in representation of the fairer sex in judicial system and justice is still out of reach for majority of the community. Even though the constitution guarantees free primary schooling to everyone up to 14 years of age, very few females attend school. Only about 39 per cent of all women in India actually attend primary schools because of negligence about women future and lack of acceptance from the male dominant society.
