Union Budget 2010-11: Can it fulfill peoples' expectations
Union Budget 2010-11 will be tabled by Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee on February 26 in Lok Shabha. Common men from every part of country are expecting Congress will keep their promise about Congress Ka Haath Aam Aadmi se Saaath.

UNION BUDGET 2010-11 will be tabled by Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee on February 26 in Lok Shabha. Union Budget is usually tabled in the Lok Shabha every Month on the last day of February but this year because of government holiday Pranab Mukherjee will present Union Budget two days prior.
 
People all across the country are expecting that Congress will keep their promise about "Congress Ka Haath Aam Aadmi se Saaath" a famous slogan given by Congress Party during the last Lok Shabha election.
 
Common people are expecting control in prices of general household commodities and food grains. Women are expecting that the FM goes soft on the kitchen budget. Salaried people are expecting that income tax limits should be higher from the current limit in union budget 2010 -11 and also relaxation in other taxes.
 
Unemployed youth are expecting more employment opportunities in service sectors whereas poor people want improvement of basic infrastructure for their bread and butter. Common people are also expecting interest paid under Sec 24 for housing loan to Rs.250000 from current Rs. 150000 limit. Senior citizens age limit reduced to 60 years from current 65 years.
 
Tax experts want reimbursement limit of medical expenses increased to Rs. 50000. In lieu of Common Wealth game this year Delhi government seeks 2000 crore in union budget 2010 - 11. Now it is time to wait and watch till February 26 when Pranab Mukherjee presents the Union Budget 2010-11.
