The issue of Telangana statehood is becoming complicated with each passing day as central government has failed to take a decision on the issue so far. The Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) has accused the Congress-led government of backtracking from its promise.
TRS leader K. Ramarao has said by not fulfilling the promise made to the people of Telangana the union government has insulted them. He said if the central government does not take any firm step on the statehood of Telangana then the activists fighting for the separate state will also start a fight against the Congress with the motto ' Congress ko Khatam Karo, Telangana Hasil Karo', according to NNIS.
Ramaroa said that the people of Telangana are hopeful that the government will live up to its promise, which was made on 28 Dec. 2012 by the government in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha that Telangana will be formed as 29th state.
He said if the government does not abide by its promise then the people of Telangana will start feeling that there is no democracy left in the country. He demanded that the government should immediately come forward with a clear cut road map on Telangana issue.
