Union Ministers declare assets; many are crorepatis
The list includes financial details of the Prime Minister, his cabinet colleagues, including 32 cabinet ministers, seven state ministers with independent charge and 37 ministers of state.

PRIME MINISTER Dr. Manmohan Singh and his cabinet ministers declared their assets, which were posted online on today. The list included details of the Prime Minister, his cabinet colleagues including 32 cabinet ministers, seven state ministers with independent charge and 37 ministers of state. However, 18 ministers have not declared their assets.

According to the list Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has assets worth around Rs 5 crores including property worth Rs 1.8 crore and bank deposits worth Rs 3.2 crore. He has a house in Chandigarh and Delhi.
In the cabinet of Manmohan Singh, Urban Development Minister Kamal Nath is the richest minister with assets worth over Rs 263 crores. Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee has assets worth Rs. 1.1 crore that includes two flats and land, while Home Minister P Chidambaram has assets totalling Rs 11 crore including shares in three companies.Petroleum Minister Murli Deora and his wife, have a combined asset worth Rs. 15.2 crore, whereas Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar has assets worth over Rs. 12 crore. Telecom Minister Kapil Sibal and Minister of Chemical and Fertilisers MK Azhagiri each have assets worth over Rs 30 crores.In Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's cabinet, Defence Minister AK Antony is among the poorest with personal assets worth Rs 1.8 lakh and his wife has assets worth Rs 30 lakh.
The Prime Minister Office (PMO) has published details of the assets of Manmohan Singh cabinet after nearly three reminders from Cabinet Secretary KM Chandrasekhar. Chandrasekhar had written a letter to the ministers regarding this on June 2.
