United States: This time a teacher fires gun inside Georgia's Dalton High School
In a shocking incident that takes school shootings to the next level in the United States, a teacher has been arrested for firing a shot inside the school classroom.

The incident took place in a Georgia's Dalton High School on Wednesday. The teacher has been identified as 53-year-old Jesse Randall Davidson. Davidson, who has already been arrested by the police, has been charged with multiple counts.

"The teacher involved in this morning's incident is Jesse Randall Davidson, 53, social studies teacher. Also serves as play by play voice of the Dalton football team," Dalton police wrote on Twitter.

The police immediately responded to the situation and also evacuated the surrounding areas. The incident began when the teacher would not allow students into the classroom. The principal reportedly went to speak to the teacher but he refused to speak to him and told him, "I have a gun". That he possessed a hand gun, has also been confirmed.

The school resource officer and the police were immediately informed. The police evacuated the entire school. Fortunately no loss of life was caused but one student is reported to have suffered an ankle injury during the process of evacuation. The teacher, however, fired one shot through the window of the room where he had locked himself. But as per reports, he did not aimed the gun at any one. He was immediately taken into custody by the police.

Dalton Police has also said that the school will remain closed on Thursday, and on Friday, the classes will resume in the presence of police.

Shootings in schools have been increasing in the past with innocent school kids being the victims. The government seems to failing to contain the shootings given the liberal gun culture prevalent in the United States.

The incident comes barely two weeks after the February 14 school shooting incident of Florida, in which, a former student of the school had shot and killed 17 people including three teachers.
