Untiring efforts of MCG commissioner make a difference in Gurgaon
Development of the city seems to be main priority of newly- appointed commissioner of Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG). In less than two months of his appointment, the commissioner of the corporation, Vijay Dhaiya is visiting and inspecting developmental works in almost every corner of the city.

ON THURSDAY last, Dhaiya visited old Delhi-Gurgaon road, sector-12A road, bus stand, Mata Masani road, CRPF camp and inspected the construction work of storm water drain, being constructed at a budget of Rs 2.5 crore. He also paid a surprise visit to the Khemchand Street, at old Delhi road where RMC work is going on and listened to the grievances of the locals.

Dhaiya also visited old jail complex and ordered new street lights to be installed in the area and repair of all broken dividers and footpaths on the road. "Because of his continuous vigilance and inspections the construction of storm water drain at Khandsa road has almost been completed in just two months, which was originally scheduled for nine months from the November last year,” an MCG spokesperson told this citizen journalist .

Other than this the work of drainage in Krishna Colony and Jyoti Park has also been completed much before the given time and local residents are praising Dhaiya for his work and dedication.

Dhaiya, on the other hand, is all praises for his team and officials for completing given task before time. "I am happy to see these works completing before time and congratulate my team for their efforts," Dhaiya said.

He also visited night shelters of MCG and took a stock of all the facilities being provided to the inmates. Dhaiya has also actively engaged himself in various campaigns like 'No to polythene' and 'Safai Abhiyan' etc. to make the city polythene-free.
