The old proverb, 'every thing is fair in love and war' now needs an amendment i.e. now it stands 'It's fair in love, war and politics'. Politicians of all parties are trying every trick in the book to woo voters in Uttar Pradesh and Punjab.
THE STATE of Uttar Pradesh is the largest state of the country and the election fever is on and politicians and political parties are in high spirits.

The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) is led by Chief Minster of UP Ms Mayawati, while the Samajwadi Party is again being led by the former Chief Minister of UP Mulayam Singh Yadav and his son Akhilesh. The Congress is depending on Rahul Gandhi while Ms Uma Devi is leading the BJP - all with a hope to form a new government. Let us wait and see who is the ultimate winner.
Parties have even face-lifted some of the criminals and have also introduced new blood. Brahmins, Dalits and Muslims are the main pockets or categories who are going to decide the fate of these politicians. All the parties are trying their best to enhance their vote bank by all possible means - even acting as as 'bahrupia', as shown in the picture of Rahul Gandhi.
Rahul Gandhi intentionally didn’t shave since his beard will help in fetching votes from the Muslims in UP and of the Sikhs while in the Punjab assembly elections. This is one of the tactics adopted by Rahul to win the voters' favour. It is all a multi-pronged game. Dalits, eating with them, staying with them is yet another latest formula adopted by our politicians. Each and every candidate is willing to perform any act at this stage to win the favour of the voters.
