Leading provider of communications software, GAO Research Inc, recently announced the launch of its new version of the V.32bis/32 modem software. The software provides full duplex mode of operation on PSTN
GAO RESEARCH Inc has released a new version of the V.32bis/32 modem software, which has been optimised for better performance. This software provides full duplex mode of operation on PSTN and on point-to-point two-wire leased line circuits with data signaling rates at 14400, 12000, 9600, 7200, and 4800bps synchronously.
In these modems, channels are separated by using echo cancellation techniques and QAM is used for each channel with synchronous line transmission at 2400baud. The V.32/32bis modem software is designed to process data in 10ms intervals and can be adapted for a variety of sampling rates such as 9600Hz or 7200Hz.
Exchange of rate sequences is provided during start-up to establish the data rate, coding, and any other special facilities. The software has been tested against various impairment combinations using TAS (Telephone Network Emulator).
The software supports commonly used processors such as TI C5000 and C6000 series DSPs, ARM processors and ADI DSPs and OS such as Windows, VxWorks, and Linux.
