Gujarat, under the guidance of Narendra Modi, has become one of the fastest growing economies in India. Its GDP is also one of the best among other states in the country. He has played a very important role in making the state, what it is today. Gujarat is very rich in its contribution towards India in various sectors, such as Gujarat contributes 35% of Petrochemical production, 41% of Chemical products, 25% of Textile production and the list goes on and on. It is for the work that Modi has done in his previous years towards the growth of Gujarat’s economy, which has impressed many a people in the US too.

The US has been giving a high degree of attention to India, as it was seen during the US-India Strategic Dialogue session where various issues related between India and US were given high importance. The US considered it to be a very important meet, which was evident from the number of US officials that were present in the session. There are various goods that are traded between the two countries such as Diamonds, textiles, Organic Chemicals, Aircraft, precious stones, which contribute majorly to their economy.  

Previous Presidents of the US such as Bill Clinton, and George Bush were aware of India’s potential in the economic sector; hence, they were keen in having a good relation with India. Barack Obama is also following on the same lines now.
