The newly unveiled logo of the U.S. Department of Defence’s Missile Defence Agency is now mired in controversy. Conservative sites such as the Drudge Report have addressed their concerns over the new logo, which some believe bears a strong resemblance to the Islamic crescent and star.

The MDA is the US Department of Defence which works as a research, development, and acquisition agency. Some critics have gone as far as saying that the new logo is a move by the Barack Obama administration to accommodate the Islamist Republic. Some even think the logo to be a punch of the Obama campaign logo and the Islamic crescent and star. Big Government's Frank Gaffney has written “Team Obama is behaving in a way that -- as the new MDA logo suggests -- is all about accommodating that 'Islamic Republic' and its ever-more aggressive stance." All in all, the crux f the matter is that the new logo is already creating uproar.
