THE TOP seed of the US Open 2011, Novak Djokovic would be facing a qualifier from Ireland, Conor Niland in the first round of the competition later today at Arthur Ashe stadium. The Irish player could not have drawn a tougher opponent than the in-form player of the season, Djokovic, who has lost just two matches during the year.
The Irish player, Conor Niland has got nothing to lose, so he can play as freely as he wants. Djokovic is the overwhelming favourite to win the match and walk into the next round of the competition. Niland is very determined to produce one of his best matches of his career when he takes on the top ranked player of the world.
Niland has promised to play very positively during the match against Djokovic. The 30-year-old player from Ireland seems to be very excited to play the Serbian player, Djokovic in an expected full house stadium.
Niland would be trying to keep the Irish flag flying high by putting up a splendid performance, which would help him in getting fame.
