To make sure that Egypt maintains strong ties with the US, secretary Hilary Clinton met with president Morsi and is likely to promise debt relief, private investment capital and job creation funds.
ACCORDING TO the US State Department officials, the visit was meant to demonstrate American recognition of Egypt's first democratically elected president. She was scheduled to meet on Saturday with Mr. Morsi and on Sunday with Field Marshal Mohamed Hussein Tantawi, head of the supreme military council.
Clinton's talks with Morsi at the presidential palace focused on the democratic transition in Egypt. US is likely promise debt relief, private investment capital and job creation funds to bring two nations together.
According to the visit schedule, Clinton will also be visiting the port city of Alexandria on Sunday to meet with women groups and young entrepreneurs.
