US warns India of possible release of documents by WikiLeaks
The whistle-blower website WikiLeaks has caught US off guard by publishing close to 300 cables, which are a part of a huge 2,50,000 cables, that contain controversial classified information about US diplomats and their policies all over the world.
POST THE controversial release by WikiLeaks, the United States has come out and warned India as well as other nations across the world about another impending lot of documents to be released by WikiLeaks that could embarrass India.

The whistle-blower website WikiLeaks has caught US off guard by publishing close to 300 cables, which are a part of a huge 2,50,000 cables, that contain controversial classified information about US diplomats and their policies all over the world.

Furthermore, US now warn many countries, India in particular that WikiLeaks is now on to releasing more documents that involve India. Of the more than a quarter million classified documents, reportedly, 3,000 are from the US embassy in New Delhi, but have not been released till now by WikiLeaks.

The US stated that more documents that are going to surface could cause tension among their diplomats and ‘friends’ over the world.

“The embassy cables will be released in stages over the next few months. The subject matter of these cables is of such importance, and the geographical spread so broad, that to do otherwise would not do this material justice,” said the WikiLeaks.

“The cables, which date from 1966 up until the end of February this year, contain confidential communications between 274 embassies in countries throughout the world and the State Department in Washington DC. 15,652 of the cables are classified ‘Secret’,” it said.
