Veteran Bollywood, Marathi and TV actress Reema Lagoo passes away at 59
Veteran Indian film and TV actor Reema Lagoo, 59, passed away after a cardiac arrest in Mumbai today. Her untimely death is a big loss to the Indian entertainment industry.

Reema Lagoo , born in 1958, had been a popular Indian actress who was acclaimed for her popular mom roles especially in Bollywood. She also played many supportive roles in Hindi and Marathi cinema.

She is most remembered for portraying Salman Khan's mother in many superhit films like 'Maine Pyar Kiya' and 'Hum Aapke Hain Kaun'.

She was also active in Marathi theatre and had played a lead role in the Marathi serial Tuza Maza Jamena.

She became famous by playing the protagonists' mother in hit Hindi films like Maine Pyar Kiya, Aashiqui, Saajan, Hum Aapke Hain Kaun, Vaastav, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kal Ho Naa Ho and Hum Saath-Saath Hain.

Shockingly, the actress was fit and fine till yesterday evening and was busy shooting till 7 pm on Wednesday.

Reportedly, after wrapping up the shoot of her ongoing TV serials, she went home. The same night she suddenly complained of chest pain and was rushed to Mumbai's Kokilaben Hospital. The actress endured a lot of pain after suffering a cardiac arrest. She breathed her last today morning on May 18 at the hospital.

Her work in  TV serials such as  Tu Tu Main Main, Shrimaan Shrimati and Hum Paanch was loved by the audience. Her absence will be missed by the entertainment industry and theatre lovers alike. May her soul rest in peace.
