Vidya Balan opts for a Bengali look on her mehndi
Actress Vidya Balan who will exchange vows with her long time beau Siddharth Roy Kapur on December 14 hosted her mehndi ceremony at her residence in Mumbai. Only close friends and family were invited for the ceremony.

THE MEHNDI ceremony was a private affair held on Wednesday at Vidya Balan's Khar residence in Mumbai. The veteran actress Rekha was the only tinsel-town celebrity who was invited to Vidya Balan’s rather private mehendi.

Rekha was looking gorgeous in her beautiful green sari at the function. While Vidya Balan was seen in a yellow sari wore in a typical Bengali style with floral ornaments, which was designed by Sabyasachi Mukherjee, her mehndi was also simple with round blobs of henna on her palm.

The sangeet cremony was also a private affair and the venue for it was A La Mode Banquets at Juhu. Here the 'Kahaani actress' smartly distracted the media by sending her Mercedes to the front gate, while she easily escaped from behind.

The marriage will take place on December 14 at Sri Subrahmania Swami Temple in Chembur's Nagar, Mumbai and a part of the ceremony will also take place at her parents' residence at Jolly Makers Tower, Cuffe Parade in Kanpur.

The marriage will be a mixture of two cultures - South Indian and Punjabi style. It is believed that there will be a reception in Chennai on December 15th 2012 and then the newly wedded couple will head for honeymoon in Caribbean Islands.
