Vijay Rupani set to form government in Gujarat
Vijay Rupani will be sworn-in as as CM of Gujarat and Nitin Patel as deputy CM. The swearing in ceremony will take place at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar on Sunday.

Senior BJP leaders including Amit Shah, finance minister Arun Jaitley, LK Advani , MM Joshi and chief ministers of BJP ruled states will attend the function.

On Friday, Rupani met governor OP Kohli to stake claim for government formation.

"Governor has given the go-ahead for oath taking ceremony on Sunday. Rupani will be sworn in as CM at 12.39 pm," BJP Gujarat in charge Dinesh Sharma told the media.

"We have told the Governor that the BJP Legislature has endorsed the names of Vijay Rupani as new Chief Minister and Nitin Patel as Deputy Chief Minister. The Governor has given his go ahead for the oath taking ceremony which will be held on Sunday 12.40 pm," Mr Sharma said after the meeting.

Keshubhai, who declined to attend the ceremony, said, "This is the first time that a DyCM has also been appointed by BJP. I  hope both of them contribute together to Gujarat's development." 

Both Rupani and Patel, held a series of meetings with senior party leaders and ministers. The meetings were held to discuss likely names to be inducted in their cabinet.
