Vijayalaxmi sworn in as MLA in Andhra
Vijayalaxmi, wife of late Y.S Rajasehkara reddy was sworn in as a MLA of Pulivendula. Vijayalaxmi remembered her husband Rajasekhar Reddy and wept while signing on the papers.
VIJAYALAXMI, wife of late Y.S Rajasehkara Reddy was sworn in as a MLA of Pulivendula. YS Rajsekhara Reddy, the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh was killed in a helicopter crash on September 2, last year.
He was the MLA from Pulivendula constitution in Kadapa district. So, for that constitution by-poll was held on December 19, 2010, and she was elected unanimously. She was sworn in as the MLA on Thursday in presence of speaker Kiron Kumar Reddy and her son, MP from Kadapa Y S Jaganmohan Reddy. She could not control her grief while taking the oath and her eyes were wet.
Vijayalaxmi remembered her husband Rajasekhar Reddy and wept while signing on the papers. Cabinet ministers and legislators also attended the event.
