Vijayawada witnesses dharna drama
Afer the bye-elections, both Congress and TDP are showing their strength in Vijayawada City on a small issue. The local MP Rajagopal who is known for his guts in attacking rivals is also staging a parallel dharna to Chandrababu Naidu.

LAGADAPATI RAJAGOPAL, Member of Parliament for Vijayawada has become center of attraction once again. This time, because of a quarrel with Chandrababu Naidu, leader of opposition. Congress and TDP are showing their strength in Vijayawada city.

The opposition leader of the state arrived in Vijayawada today early morning along with party top leaders like Yerram Naidu and others to stage a dharna (protest) for the immediate construction of a flyover at the temple of Kanaka Durga where the road is narrowed because of Krishna River.

There has been a demand for a flyover at Durga Temple for more than a decade but it was not completed by eigher TDP Government Congress Government.

Rajagopal who is famous for hitting anyone has taken the responsibility today. He says that the construction of fly over was not easy now as the traffic is heavy and there is no alternative to divert it. It is possible only if the inner ring road is completed. This was opposed by TDP but Rajagopal believes it is possible to complete the construction in six months. Rajagopal challenged the TDP andsaid that he would give blank cheques and complete it in the stipulated period.

The MP has stated that he would meet Naidu before the sunset and explain the situation. In the morning he wanted to meet Naidu but police didn't let him. Police has started patrolling to maintain law and order in the city and avoid any unlawful incidents. Now the situation is under control and police is monitoring the situation.
