Vijender Singh provides blood sample to police
Indian boxer Vijender Singh has finally decided to provide blood samples for testing to Haryana Police, which he was not keen initially. This test would play an important role in finding out whether the pugilist is clean or not.

The boxer did not want the tests to be conducted by police but by an anti-doping agency, which also seems to be fair on Vijender's part. The anti-doping agency would have all the required equipment to go through the test, which the police may or may not have.

On Monday, the Olympic medalist was questioned for four hours. Haryana's Superintendent of Police (Crime) Hardeep Singh Doon was also present when the high-profiled questioning took place with the boxer.

The Rs 130 crore worth heroine caught from the residence of an NRI, Anoop Singh Kahlon has affected Indian boxing a lot and the sport in the process also received a bad name. The episode turned bigger when Ram Singh stated that he and Vijender have both tried drugs to which Vijender does not agree. Ram Singh, after the revelation, has been removed the National Institute of Sports, Patiala.

Vijender's name being dragged into the issue might have a negative impact on his advertisement deals as well. He might be scrapped from many endorsement deals, as it would have a negative impact on the brand as well.
