Vikas Yadav joins as the new MCG and HUDA chief in Gurgaon
Vikas Yadav took charge of both Municipal Corporation of Gurgoan (MCG) and Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) at 4pm in the evening today. He is an officer of 2003 IAS batch. He is also the chief administrator of Shrimata Sheetla Devi Puja Sthal Board.

He was the commissioner of Municipal Corporation of Faridabad. Previously, in Karnal, Yadav has been the Deputy Commissioner and the Commissioner of Municipal Corporation. He has also worked as Director of Madhyamik Shiksha Vibhag in Haryana.

Describing his priorities after assuming the office as MCG Chief, Yadav said that public issues will be focused on and sorted out with the immediate effect. The complainants will have it easy and they would not have to go from one door to the next to get their work done.

He also said that in oder to solve public issues, monitoring will be done in effective manner. To get rid of wondering around government offices, an online complaint receiving system will be launched. He also added that 'zero tolerance' policy will be adopted in case of Corruption. Meanwhile the special attention will be given on the quality of the waste management and development related works in Gurgaon

He also further added that for development, Municipal's financial management will be the first priority in his working list. The financial condition of Faridabad, when he took charge as Commissioner of Municipal Corporation of Faridabad was not good. At that time, there was only Rs 22 Lakh as income tax in MCF, which increased to Rs 55 crore as income tax when he left Faridabad.

He hopes to bring the same kind of changes to Gurgaon, now that he has taken charge of two offices.
