Vishwaroopam hits screens in Bangalore
With Vishwaroopam being cleared for screening in Karnataka, fans in huge numbers started thronging theatres. After Kerala, the film is now being shown in Karnataka too without any reports of law and order problem.
Over the last few days, the support for the Kamal Haasan poured in from the film fraternity for its screening in Tamil Nadu where the court was still mulling over the law and order concerns, communal amity and the actor's huge investment in the movie.
Reportedly, Tamil Nadu government officials had been insisting that Vishwaroopam be edited by about an hour to make the film suitable for screening in Tamil Nadu.
It may be recalled that in Tamil Nadu the film was banned temporarily, following protests from Muslim groups and matter was taken to High Court of the state. The decision still hangs in balance since the state government wants that film should be edited before its release.
