Vishwaroopam to be released with seven cuts in Tamil Nadu
After ten days of controversy and high drama over its release, Kamal Haasan's Vishwaroopam will hit the screens, but with some cuts after an accord between the representatives of 20 Muslim groups, state government and producer was reached on Saturday.

Haasan has agreed to delete seven scenes with a disclaimer at the beginning of the film. Many hours of talks at the Tamil Nadu Secretariat in the presence of Home Secretary R Rajagopal led to hammering of the accord.

It was agreed that film would be resubmitted with deleted scenes to get their approval and withdrawal of the ban order. "We will immediately arrange to announce the date of release after consultations, including with technical team," said Haasan after the accord was reached.

Various Muslim groups in Tamil Nadu have decided to withdraw the agitation against the movie.
