Visit to Valley Forge in Philadelphia: A must for history buffs and nature lovers!
"The American history comes alive in Valley Forge in Philapheldia and is a must visit for serious visitors who are interested in the history as well as the fora and fauna of the place," said my host Jeya on the morning of July 27. The place was close to the place of my stay called Forge Valley Towers.

We made a short visit to the valley that is being managed by Valley Forge Tourism and Convention Board (VFTCB). As soon as we entered the venue, we found trees, shrubs, plants and flower beds all around to fawn over. The fauna of the valley consists mainly of small animals.

According to the CEO of the VFTCB, last year, the World Meeting of Families took place here and Pope Francis visited and appreciated the place. This year, a number of delegates of Democratic National Convention were staying on the premises to attend the meeting. Also, this year, the centennial celebrations of the founding of the National Park Services is going to be held here, we were told.

We went around the hall seeing historical exhibits, selfie points with large exhibits and also saw a short film on American history. Moreover, in the open area, log cabins and barracks of the erstwhile defence forces are of great attraction to the visitors.

Indeed, it is a good place to visit for 'history buffs, nature lovers, kids and photographers'. Also, guidebook and conducted tours under the theme 'Find Your Park' were available and we made use of the guide book to go around a few locations of the valley and clicked some photographs. I found the visit very rewarding, away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
