Leading provider of communication test instruments, GAO Comm, recently unveiled its visual fault locater. The new locater is used for fiber optic identification, fault location on single mode or multi mode fiber and wavelength loss testing
GAO COMM has launched its portable and easy-to-operate visual fault locater (GAO3CO4) which is used for fiber optic identification, fault location on single mode or multi mode fiber and wavelength loss testing. This fault locater is an ideal tool for fiber optic networks, LAN, FDDI, ATM optical systems, telecom and CATV maintenance.
GAO's visual fault locater has a pen-shape design is light weight and thus highly portable. The high power 650nm laser can transmit continuous light or adjustable strobe light. This compact locater provides measurements at a range of up to 5km and detects breaks and micro-bends even through jacketed fibers. This fault locater easily identifies cuts in fiber patch cords and ribbons or bunched pigtails.
