Vivo IPL 2016 match 10 preview: It won't be a cakewalk for Kings XI against a settled Rising Pune Supergiants side
In match number 10 of Vivo IPL 2016, Kings XI Punjab will face a much more settled skipper MS Dhoni-led Pune side on Sunday at the Punjab Cricket Association Stadium in Mohali.

Although the Kings have a home advantage today, the team has had a poor start in the tournament so far, having played two games and lost both. Today the Kings XI would like to register their first win in their third game of IPL 2016 against the new kids on the block the Rising Pune Supergiants.

Moreover, the manner in which the Kings lost to Delhi at the Ferozshah Kotla was even more disconcerting. Their middle order looked shaky, their openers David Miller and Glenn Maxwell looked out of form, and their running between the wickets did not help matters.

As for the Supergiants, barring their sole defeat at the hands of Gujarat Lions they look a much more settled side in all respects of the game. Their top order is firing and skipper Dhoni is lending his much needed support in the middle order.

Although Rajat Bhatia and Mitchell Marsh had a poor game against the Gujarat Lions, they did manage to bowl economical spells in the opening game against the Mumbai Indians.

Rising Pune Supergiants have more answers than questions in today's match in comparison to the Kings XI Punjab. From here on it only looks like an uphill task for the hosts who will have to pull their act together for registering their first win in the tournament.

Sadly for the Kings XI, their big-ticket and highly paid international players have not performed so far. In a sharp contrast youngster Manan Vohra has looked in fine form by scoring quickfire thirties in both the matches so far.

The highlight of today's match for the Supergiants will be Ashwins, Murugan the junior leg spinner and Ravichandran the senior off spinner. It was a pleasant sight to see the senior Ashwin guiding his junior namesakes through his spell in their opening match. In the last match both Ashwins finished as the team's best bowlers.

Despite batting collapses, the Kings XI are not expected to fiddle with their batting order in today's game, but Mitchell Johnson, who has looked out of form might be replaced with Kyle Abbott or Marcus Stoinis.

Skipper Dhoni who is known for making surprises changes in the playing XI might make an exception today, as his side looks more or less settled.

In today's match which takes places late in the afternoon, day temperatures are expected to touch 38 degrees and both teams will be physically tested while running between the wickets and fielding in the large Mohali ground with big boundaries, especially square of the wicket. The pitch at Mohali is good for batting, but also offers some chance for quality bowlers.
