Vivo IPL 2018 match prediction: DD vs RR - A must win game for both
In match 32 of Vivo IPL 2018, home team Delhi Daredevils take on Rajasthan Royals at the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium in Delhi on Wednesday.

In their last head-to-head encounter Rajasthan had won by 10 runs in a rain affected game. The game is a must-win for both teams if they are serious about qualifying for the playoffs as they are languishing at the bottom half of the IPL points table.

DD come into today's match after suffering their sixth loss in season 11 of IPL in their last game against CSK. Delhi find themselves at the bottom most position of the points table with just 4 points.

Things aren't looking good for the Rajasthan Royals either, who lost their last game to SRH at home. The potent bowling attack of Hyderabad managed to defend a reasonably low total of 151 and choked the RR batsmen for runs. Since no other batsman apart from skipper Rahane (65*) and Samson (40) could put up any resistance, the Royals lost to SRH by 12 runs.

Match prediction:

Delhi definitely have the home advantage in today's game. Moreover, the Daredevils would take heart from their last couple of performances. Delhi might have lost against CSK in the last match but they almost came close to winning it. Chasing a big total of 211 for a win, DD managed 198 runs in their allotted 20 overs, losing by just 13-runs in the end. This result underlines the fact that the team has the caliber of chasing big totals.

Also, in their last home game against Kolkata Knight Riders, Delhi posted the highest total of this IPL season, scoring 219 runs and beating KKR by 55 runs.

However, Delhi would have to have a look at their bowling attack as both their main seamers Trent Boult and Liam Plunkett went for over 100 runs in seven overs against CSK. Out of form former Delhi skipper Gautam Gambhir isn't expected to play today also, as DD can't afford another loss.

The head-to-head record of both teams might favour the Rajasthan Royals, who last lost to Delhi in 2012, but as per current form and team strength, Delhi Daredevils look clear favourites.
