Voters in dilemma over whom to vote in GHMC polls: Ruling party or the opposition's candidate?
As the ward members elections for the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Council has been announced and we have to cast our valuable vote on Feb 2, 2016. In this regard some registered voters of the ward Rajendranagar, which comes under Rajendranagar Assembly and Chevella Parliamentary constituency, wish to share their information to get a collective opinion from co-voters.
In the previous elections held in 2009 the MP was from Congress and MLA was from Telugu Desam Party and the Corporator was from the Congress. MP and Corporator were from the ruling party and MLA was from the opposition. Due to which developmental activities have not taken in a satisfactory manner in the ward.

Again this time we have same combination of MP and MLA, which has put a peculiar situation whom to vote, ruling party or opposition party candidate contesting for the post of Corporator?

Any issue concerning to the locality has to be taken up with the GHMC officials, then with the Corporator or the MLA. MP's primary responsibility is in the Parliament and is legislation work. He/she allocates MPLAD funds to the entire assembly constituency time to time as per the requirement. MP can help through his/her office any pending issue in a particular locality of the ward.

Once the election is over the Corporator has his/her say related to resolution of the issues pertaining to a locality. It is also a known fact that, the Corporator, MLA or MP do respond promptly for quicker resolution of the issues based on the votes secured in each polling booth allocated to the particular locality in his/her favour. As a citizen we have been witnessing the clash related to fund allocation for developmental activities between the MP, MLA and Corporator, when they belong to different parties.

We, the voters are put to confusion to whom to vote under prevailing circumstances? Which Corporator contestant either ruling or opposition party has the capacity to be cordial, cooperative and keep better coordination with both MP and MLA and get the things done and earn goodwill of the voters?

Yes, it is a testing time. We voters are facing so many unresolved issues in our locality. Our voice should be heard.
