Very soon our politicians, who can be viewed on national prime channels seen brawling with each other and smartly displaying their acrobatic skill by catapulting the chairs at their fellow politicians would join a short term course in one of the prestigious management institution of the country where they can be look forward to get tips on effective and responsible leadership.
The Hyderabad based Indian School of Business (ISB) is going to offer a short duration capsule courses to our politicians. These courses are specially designed for our elected representatives which will be conducted quaternary in a year at regular intervals. Deepak Chandra, Deputy Dean of ISB revealed that they had recently conducted a programme for a group of MLAs from eleven states and it proved quite successful. He said that it was logical to extend the programme as there was a great need for such kind of training for members of the legislature in the country.
Experts from ISB and outside will come together to focus on various aspects of legislation and discuss strategies to make it more effective, he said. The participants will also be given insights into developing leadership skills as well as improving their debating skills, Gupta added.
