Want to be paid to sleep? Read ahead
Love your work. Heard that? Yes. And I know you love sleeping. And you must be thinking when has sleeping paid anybody money!

But it might pay you, if you can sleep. Sleep for 60 days.

France’s Institute for Space Medicine and Physiology is willing to pay people around $17,000 (stop calculating that in INR) to lie on their backs for 60 days straight.

The researchers are hoping to study the effects of micro-gravity, or a state of virtual weightlessness.

The institute needs 24 candidates, all male who are between the ages of 20 and 45. Another condition is that you should have a body mass index between 22 and 27, (You don't know what BMI is?), must be non-smokers (Yeah, that one too) and have no allergies (Nope, love is not an allergy).

“During the first two weeks our scientists will do a whole series of tests and measurements on the volunteers,” Dr Arnuad Beck — the organizer of the experiment — told 20 minutes. “This will be followed by a 60-day period during which they must remain in bed, the head slightly inclined downward at less than six degrees,” Dr Beck added.

Beck also warned that the job may sound like a dream for most, initially, but it's going to be tougher than it seems.

And if you are selected, you will have to do everything in bed, including eating, bathing & yes, that too.

“The rule is to keep at least one shoulder in contact with the bed or its frame,” he explained.

Beck also said that astronauts who have spent extended periods of time in space experience muscle loss as well as a drop in bone density.

So with the help of this experiment, the researchers are trying to gauge similar negative effects of weightlessness on the human body.
