A good understanding between Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG) and local councillors is proving beneficial for the people of Gurgaon. In some areas falling under ward number 24, the corporation has installed LED street lights, much to the delight of locals.
RESIDENTS OF Mohammadpur Jhadsa, which falls under ward number 24 of Gurgaon, were delighted when the streets of their locality were brightened up after a long time. Local MLA of Badshahpur, Rao Dharampal inaugurated the LED street lights by switching on the main switch of the area.
On the occasion, local councillor Kalu Ram Yadav was also present and addressed people and promised further development and installation of street lights in the whole area. MLA Rao Dharampal also listened to the other grievances of people and resolved many of them on the spot.
"We have installed LED street lights which are power efficient and brighter," the MLA said on the occasion. About 300 such LEDs, which are said to be of 30 to 60 watts, were installed in the area at a budget of Rs 35 lakh. "With this initiative, we have just started to brighten up the village and further development is yet to take place," the MLA added.
