Watch: 12-year-old boy from Etawah in UP lodges police complaint against his father, know why!
After his father refused to fulfill his 11-year-old son's wish of taking him to the fair, the boy, angered over his daddy's decision, reached a local police station in UP's Etawah on Thursday to lodge a complaint against him.

According to the report published in The Times of India, the boy approached the Kotwali police station, located some 300 metres away from his house, and narrated his ordeal before the head constable.

The incident came to light after a video clip of the conversation between the boy and Uttar Pradesh police went viral on Friday.

After hearing the boy's verbal complaint, the police contacted his guardians and sent him back home. Police also advised the boy's parents in this regard and said that they should have fulfilled their child's wish of visiting the fair.

Talking about the case, Kotwali inspector Anil Kumar said, "According to the boy, his father was allegedly ignoring his wish to witness the 'numaish' (fair) underway at Etawah Mahotsava."

"The father of the young boy is a businessman and as per his family, it seems the kid was feeling disturbed since he came to know about his neighbourhood friends trip to the fair. However, we managed to pacify the kid after arranging for a trip to the fair with his family," the officer added further.

After getting assurance from the police who convinced him, the child agreed to return home.

"We also visited boy's house and tried counselling the parents," the police informed.
