Watch: Bihar gangster sons mercilessly beat classmate, FIR lodged; KVS orders probe
The video of the students shamelessly bullying and mercilessly thrashing a fellow-student in the classroom of Kendriya Vidayalaya, Muzaffarpur, has gone viral on the social media and is being met with shocking reactions.
It has been reported that the sons of a notorious gangster of Bihar, who is serving a jail term, had beaten their school mate in the classroom and threatened the victim not to report the matter to the authorities or else he would face dire consequences. It is also been reported that the victim has not been beaten for the first time but had been keeping quiet.

However, this time the incident got recorded and after it became viral, the officials of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan rushed to the school and have instituted an inquiry into the incident.

Calling the incident horrible, a netizen said that 'Imagine this happened in Kendriya Vidyalaya and no teacher around! Bullying and ragging is legally banned! What a shame!'

It has been seen that school violence and bullying makes the victim to get in a severe state of distress leading to deep psychological, social or physical trauma.

When the schools with conscious effort create a social learning environment in which there is mutual trust, hardly any bullying occurs in schools. Not only the incident should be inquired into but also the failure of the school management should be looked into since schools are accountable for ensuring self-esteem protecting learning environment for all children.

The incidents of bullicides have been reported from schools due lack of supported classroom supervision and systemic failures. The education system needs to wake up, I believe.
