The Twilight Saga: New Moon has smashed the record for a single day sales opening at the North American box office. The movie is all set to score one of the biggest weekend hit of all times.

The vampire romance sequel has already made a collection of $72.7 million across United States and Canada on Friday, including a record breaking midnight sale of $26.3 million.
