Watching porn in assembly instead of staging walkouts serves democracy
The case of two Karnataka BJP ministers who were slammed for watching pornography inside the assembly did actually no bad thing, which we should be ashamed of. Speakers of our assemblies should rather take a cue from their action and encourage other shouting members of house to use such methods to control their emotions. Anyways most of the elected representatives are paid idlers; this would help them to upgrade their knowledge about the fine art of sex.

SEXUAL URGE in humans especially males always stands on a higher pedestal. It may develop at any time and place without warning. These urges are generated, either in the company of opposite sex or at times it could initiate by a thought process, which generally happens when you are all alone. Considering time and place, it will be safe to presume the presence of some mischievous elements igniting unbearable desire in Karnataka minister duo. In keeping with the dignity of the place it was prudent on their part to suppress the urge.

Many public opinion polls have confirmed that pornography, by diverting their attention, is of much help in an awkward situation like this. They seem to be unfortunate victims of a yet-to be found offender. The two individuals in no way lowered the dignity of the house and it is illogical to ask them to resign. It means punish the victim and leave offender free. It is certainly a miscarriage of justice.

The ministers have already accepted they utilized their idle time, most of elected representatives in any case are considered as paid idlers, to upgrade their knowledge about fine art of sex. Knowledge can be acquired at any time and place, assembly hall no bar. For legislators, it is the most suitable place to understand nation’s problem and ponder over the methods to overcome them. In the country the graph of sex related offences is on an upward crawl. Pinching and vulgar display of sex symbols are common all over. The proper knowledge about sex will help them to devise methods to eliminate sexual harassment and guide citizens on ways for fun filled sexual experience.

Many a times it is seen that legislators disturb proceedings of the house by howling and shouting and forcefully occupy well of the house while giving vent to their displeasure for one reason or other. Poor speaker’s order “bait jayey bait jayey” to the errant members has no effect, most of the times. Speaker may like to take a clue from these two state ministers and encourage others to follow their path to overcome their emotions. Most of the members in any case do not contribute to the matters under discussion. It will keep them in hilarious mood and proceedings can go on uninterrupted.

Most of the parents are shy and avoid imparting sex education to their children, with the result many teenagers are totally ignorant and most of them fall easy preys to smart maneuvers of sex hunters. It is well known fact that pornography is an ideal substitute for parent’s apathy. Looking at porn pictures ministers must be taxing their mind how it should be inducted in school syllabus of teenagers.

During present times, pornography is in a way an extension of sex depiction of Khauraho or Konarak or various other places and of Indian literature of sex education, “Kama Sutra”.  The action of watching pornography should be considered in this light.
